Moments where the character isn’t zooming out to see the broad view of the world. And instead the character commits to doing things and wanting things, that really aren’t good, even for themselves. When thought about from the perspective of how much someone is thinking and processing about the world, these are moments of stupidity.
Those moments are like if someone looked up at the sky at night and said “In this moment I know the sky is black, and everyone has been lying when they say it’s blue”. Yes, the sky is sometimes black, but the sky is also sometimes blue and red and orange too.
